Nov 23, 2007 · I'm using the belkin wireless game router for my 360 and I'm having the same problem. There are a few open networks around me and it always connects to those which gives me a crappy live connection. I tried to enter my IP and everything else manually but that didn't help.
HI, Does the xbox 360 built in wireless adapter support the 5Ghz wireless connection on my 3700 router? I can connect to the 2.4Ghz okay. I know it's working as I can connect my iPad 3 to the 5Ghz with no problems! Apr 19, 2012 · 360 wont connect to wired network? - posted in Xbox One & Xbox 360: Haven't used my 360 in a while. Today I turned it on and it refuses to connect to Live. It doesn't seem to even recognize it's connected to my wired network. Worked fine a few months ago. The only thing that's changed seems to be this new dashboard.
This is partly due to the fact that older Xbox 360 wired headsets cannot connect to the Chatpad due to the side pins. The Chatpad connects to the controller via two power pins and an UART interface located on the front of the controller (wireless or wired), as well as the 2.5 mm jack for headset compatibility.

My network is a wired network with everything in the same workgroup. And, as stated before, I can SEE the WHS, I just can't connect to it; at least from the 360. My Vista machine (which the 360 can connect to) can see the WHS fine, and vice-versa. Just as a goof, I did try installing WME onto the WHS as Administrator, but that is a no-go.
